I've got a flash fiction piece that I would describe as quiet noir up at Spinetingler. It's called "Old Fashioned" and it's about a couple of drunks and the bar that they love.
Loved it. I can relate to a favorite old bar like that and cherishing it like an old treehouse - or wherever the club met. That's what it is really. Men are boys, it's an extension of when you were young. Except you drink. Heavily. Again I can relate! Really liked this Chris. There doesn't always have to be brain matter splattered on the wall.
It's a great story. You don't put a foot wrong these days, Mr Rhatigan.
