I'm thrilled to have the Weekly Punch over at Beat to a Pulp with "In the Hard Nowhere," a story about an average dude who tries to become a criminal. For some reason I really liked writing about this guy and I'm playing around with a sequel.
Huge thanks to editors David Cranmer and Scott Parker and all the folks at CrimeFicWriters for making this one ready for prime time.
New issue of Pulp Metal Magazine is out. Heath Lowrance has a cracker of weird fiction with "The World is Made of Candy." And be sure to check out Paul Brazill's interview with Julia Madeleine.
Nice story, Chris! Always beware of men in bowler hats. He is a good character. You feel some sympathy for him and yet...ReplyDelete
Ha! Yeah, I feel conflicted about him too...ReplyDelete
Dug that one, man, and congrats on getting into BTAP. Like to see where this unsmooth criminal goes next, or doesn't.ReplyDelete
Great details in the story. When are you going to submit something to PM?ReplyDelete
Thanks Court and Alec. Yeah, I've been wanting to submit something to Pulp Modern -- just have to write one over 2000 words!ReplyDelete
dude: that was so cool. congrats!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Kieran. Means a lot coming from a writer of your caliber.ReplyDelete
